Hire Desk Controller
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 – £31,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus!

Are you a natural organiser with a flair for customer service and a talent for keeping operations running smoothly? We're on the lookout for a Hire Desk Controller to join a fast-paced, industry-leading business at the heart of the plant and equipment hire sector. If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same, this could be your perfect next move.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Handling incoming hire enquiries by phone and email with speed, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Processing hire orders with precision — making sure every detail is spot on
  • Coordinating logistics with customers, drivers, and depot teams to ensure seamless deliveries and collections
  • Liaising with the workshop to confirm equipment availability and manage turnaround times
  • Acting as the go-to person for customer queries, offering clear, friendly, and knowledgeable support
  • Keeping records up to date and playing a vital role in the day-to-day running of the hire desk

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar role — hire desk, logistics, construction, or plant hire experience is ideal
  • A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat
  • Confident using hire systems and computer software
