Lead and coordinate consultant ward rounds, ensuring effective prioritisation of patients.

Review acutely unwell patients promptly and escalate as necessary.

Lead the MDT in the consultant’s absence, ensuring collaborative working and effective communication.

Provide middle grade cover for junior doctors, offering guidance, supervision, and teaching.

Participate in the medical registrar on-call rota , including acute medical take and ward cover for general medical patients.

Liaise with MDT members, attend and lead family meetings, and provide patient and relative updates.
