Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Crewe (Hybrid)

We are hiring for a Senior C# Developer for an ambitious, forward-thinking global business providing transformative solutions in sustainable mobility, connectivity, and technology.

The Role:

As a Senior C# Developer within the Fuel Solutions team, you'll help design, build, and support a range of software using modern .NET technologies. You'll be working on new systems, enhancing existing applications, and providing support for internal and external users when needed.

A key focus will be on deployment and containerisation, so experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential. You'll contribute to building microservices, integrating external APIs, and ensuring the smooth deployment of scalable applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features in a microservices architecture.
  • Write and document services that integrate with external APIs.
  • Maintain and enhance existing web and microservices-based systems.
  • Manage deployments using Docker, Docker-Compose, and Kubernetes.
  • Write and maintain NuGet packages.
  • Develop unit and integration tests.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex systems.

Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of commercial C# development experience.
  • Strong background in .NET Core and Web APIs.
  • Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ORM tools (Entity Framework, Linq2DB).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
  • Knowledge of CQRS, RESTful APIs, and NuGet package management.
  • Understanding of socket programming (TCP/IP) and encryption principles.
  • Experience using Git in an Agile, continuous delivery environment.
