Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a delivery driver. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, particularly in commercial and warehouse environments, and be capable of handling physical tasks associated with heavy lifting. This position offers an engaging opportunity for those with a passion for logistics and customer service.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries to clients.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to optimise delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues.
  • Assist in warehouse organisation, including stock management and inventory checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, particularly in commercial driving environments.
  • Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures relevant to delivery driver roles.
  • Experience working in warehouses or logistics environments, with the ability to handle heavy lifting safely.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
  • Ability to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or traffic conditions.
  • Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries within tight timeframes. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments requiring both driving expertise and physical stamina. Candidates should be committed to safety standards and delivering exceptional service at all times.
