Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to provide essential support to individuals needing assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing attitude and have experience working with seniors or individuals requiring specialised care. As a live-in carer, you will reside in the client's home, providing round-the-clock care with dedicated daily breaks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.
  • Support mobility and physical activities, including light to moderate lifting.
  • Administer first aid and medication as needed, following safety protocols.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behaviour, reporting any concerns to supervisors.
  • Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
  • Transport clients to appointments or social events, if required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Prior experience in caregiving roles, such as in nursing homes, hospice care, or assisted living settings.
  • Experience in dementia care or elderly care is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
  • First aid certification is desirable.

Hours: Live-in care role with an average of 48 hours of active care per week.
