Full job description

Happy Days Bath are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Nursery Administrator to join our team.

Working Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, this setting-based position reports directly to the Nursery Manager, playing an essential role in supporting the nursery’s occupancy, commercial performance, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage applications for nursery education funding, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local authority and internal deadlines.
  • Provide administrative and operational support, including preparing documents, liaising with families, suppliers, and team members, and welcoming visitors.
  • Assist with achieving occupancy, gross profit, and budget targets through financial tasks such as expense tracking, payroll, banking, and credit control.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient archiving in line with company procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commercially aware with excellent organisational skills.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities, especially with parents and external stakeholders.
  • Initiative and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure.
