Teaching Personnel Sheffield is currently recruiting Subject Specialist Teachers to work across a wide network of secondary schools throughout Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable teachers across all subject areas, including:

The Role

As a Subject Specialist Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons within your specialist subject, inspiring students to achieve their full potential while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in your specialist subject

  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Working collaboratively with department teams and senior leaders

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate

Roles are available on a day-to-day supply, long-term, and permanent basis.

Who We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching their specialist subject at KS3 and/or KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management

  • Are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

  • Are passionate about raising student attainment and engagement

  • Are adaptable, professional, and reliable
