Job Title: Project Support / CAD Administrator (Electrical Contractor)

Job Purpose:
The Project Support & CAD Administrator supports the design & delivery of electrical contracting projects in a fast paced and dynamic office. By managing documentation, producing drawings using Autocad software, coordinating schedules, facilitating communication, and ensuring projects run efficiently. This role will provide essential administrative control, compliance, and operational support for project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Design & Project departments for Electrical construction projects.
  • Create & modify Electrical drawings using Autocad 2D software.
  • Produce technical submissions & proposal documents under the guidance of the Design team.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Schedule and attend project meetings; prepare agendas and record meeting minutes.
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Update and maintain project management systems, trackers, and logs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support contract compliance by managing documentation for audits and quality assurance.
  • Compile project operation & maintenance manuals and issue to clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Auto CAD 2D software experience
  • Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and commonly used project management software (such as MS Project or Procore).
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise across teams and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to shifting project priorities.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience working in a similar role in the construction or electrical industry
  • Qualifications in Business Administration, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of construction project documentation standards, budgets, and compliance requirements

Work Environment:
This role is office-based. The Project Administrator will work regular hours but may need to accommodate project deadlines with some flexibility.

Working hours would be 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hours per week
