Trade Recruit is pleased to be working with a well-established and growing electrical services company providing reliable, high-quality electrical solutions to homeowners, landlords, and businesses across Cumbria and the surrounding areas.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for a qualified, experienced, and motivated electrician who is confident working independently in the field. You will carry out a wide range of electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance tasks, as well as take part in solar PV and battery storage installations.

Key Responsibilities

· Carry out electrical installation works across domestic and small commercial properties.

· Install, commission, and maintain solar PV and battery storage systems.

· Perform inspection and testing duties where qualified (EICRs, certification, fault finding).

· Work safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.

· Communicate clearly with customers, engineers, and the company director.

· Complete project documentation, test sheets, and job reports accurately.

· Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

· Always represent the company professionally, providing excellent customer service.

· Undertake additional training and upskilling as solar and renewable sectors evolve.

Requirements

Essential:

· Fully qualified in electrical installation (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

· 18th Edition qualification.

· 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.

· Full UK driving licence.

· Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial electrical systems.

· Ability to work independently with high attention to safety and detail.

Desirable (but not essential):

· Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).

· Solar PV installation experience or solar/battery training.

· Experience with renewable energy technologies.

· Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
