Full job description

F&A Electrical is looking for experienced Electrician's Mates to join our team in London. We are an NICEIC accredited contractor carrying out domestic and commercial electrical work across London and the surrounding areas, with an immediate start available for the right people.

You will be working alongside our qualified electricians, with your own company work van provided.

What you will be doing:

- Assisting qualified electricians on domestic and commercial jobs

- First fix - running cables, containment, back boxes, trunking and conduit

- Second fix assistance - fitting accessories, lights and fixtures

- Chasing walls, drilling, lifting floorboards and general site preparation

- Loading and unloading materials and keeping work areas clean and tidy

- Learning installation, testing and fault-finding practice on the job

Essential requirements:

- Proven, hands-on experience as an electrician's mate or improver - this is not a trainee position

- Full UK driving licence, and able to meet our motor insurance criteria to drive company vehicles

- Reliable and punctual - on site on time, every day

- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work

- Confident with basic hand and power tools

- Good spoken English and able to follow instructions on site

- Right to work in the UK

Helpful but not essential:

- CSCS or ECS card

- Level 2 Electrical Installation, or working towards it

- Your own basic hand tools
