Summary – basic function of the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, supporting our team in the UK on a remote basis. This role is dedicated to developing new customer relationships within the designated territory, driving business growth, and ensuring sales targets are met. Strong communication and sales skills are essential for success in this role. Additionally, as cross-border collaboration is a key aspect of the position.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to meet or exceed sales and margin goals of the financial plan.
  • Responsible for providing accurate forecasting information on a weekly basis, contributing on the weekly calls and participating in preparation of annual budgets.
  • Initiates, develops and builds professional relationships with relevant end-users and follows up on other sales opportunities in the area of responsibility.
  • Initiates, develops and maintains professional relationships with key decision makers both internal and external.
  • Prospects for new clients to convert opportunities into profitable incremental sales.
  • Prepares and manages progression quotations independently, takes care of active follow-up on these and to convert into orders successfully.
  • Liaises between Customer Service, Center of Excellence (Co), Application Engineering and the Application Specialist to provide solutions/applications using standard and/or custom designed products.
  • Cooperate well with all local and regional colleagues to develop and implement global, regional and local strategies with the regional that will result in exceeding the annual financial targets.
  • Promotes all business product and services lines, systems, by organizing customer activities, such as presentations, seminars and training sessions.
  • Report to the Commercial Management on relevant commercial activities with the territory, complaints, trends, competitive actions, and any recommendations to improve sales results and productivity.
  • Cooperates and supports all the marketing activities and business development initiatives.
  • To assess the market and competitive situation and report changes in trends to the Regional and Marketing Managers.
  • Enerpac Commercial Excellence (ECX). As part of Enerpac’s sales team, maintain account plans, log visit reports, and create and maintain opportunities within Salesforce. Weekly reviews with the sales/commercial manager will include gap planning, meeting coordination, forecasting, and regular updates on the status of opportunities.
  • Follows Delegation of Authority (Do) for approvals and escalation.
  • The use of CRM (SalesForce.com) is mandatory in the job.
  • Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally.
  • Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.


Skills and Competencies

  • Technical affinity and understanding or industrial markets are required.
  • Well-developed presentation and commercial negotiation skills are needed
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, works and communicates well with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • Energetic and proactive initiator; must present a professional and articulate image.
  • Able to work to deadlines, excellent organizational skills.
  • Takes full responsibility for completion of own projects.
  • Works well with minimal supervision; self-discipline and motivation.
  • Flexible and progressional approach to work.
  • Good working knowledge of Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.); knowledge of a CRM package is beneficial.
  • Effective and efficient traveling within the designated region (occasionally outside of the designated region) is required.
  • Must be technically competent to understand applications as well as a problem solver for customer’s issues. The candidate must possess the skills to assess the customers’ needs and solutions sell.
  • Must have the ability to probe, question, and gather specific information about the customer, their needs and track the information for short- and long-term projects.


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/management or business administration and/or equivalent related field experience is required.
  • Extensive proven sales experience
