Technical Designer – Fit-Out Construction
Location: Central London
Type: Full-time, Perm

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join their dynamic fit-out construction team in Central London. This role is ideal for a detail-driven designer with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality built environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed technical drawings, construction packs, and coordination documents for commercial fit-out projects.
  • Interpret design intent and translate concept drawings into accurate, build-ready technical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve design queries and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct site surveys and verify existing conditions to inform accurate design development.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Support value engineering efforts while maintaining design quality and functionality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in technical design within commercial interiors or fit-out construction.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (SketchUp or 3D modelling tools advantageous).
  • Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials, and building regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver accurate work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
