Our client is a fast-growing commercial law firm with a specialist employment law offering, providing bespoke legal services to a broad client base. They are known for their modern, client-first approach and for creating a supportive, flexible environment where people can develop and progress.

They are now looking to recruit an Employment Paralegal to join their busy Employment team in Manchester. Respondent focused, this role is ideal for someone looking to build a career within employment law, with exposure to high-quality work and a genuine pathway towards qualification; with the majority of their training contracts being recruited from their internal staff.

The Role

Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting solicitors with legal research, drafting advice notes and assisting with general case management
  • Preparing ET3 responses and supporting Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Assisting on a wide range of employment matters, including contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance issues, and investigations
  • Preparing hearing bundles, managing files and handling key administrative tasks
  • Attending client meetings, taking notes and supporting the development of strong client relationships
  • Gaining exposure to elements of your own caseload as you progress

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in employment law (ideally respondent focused)
  • Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Is keen to learn, develop core legal skills and progress within a commercial firm
