Burbage Custom Windows trading as modernupvcwindows.co.uk is a well-established family run e-commerce and window & door manufacturing business which has been established for nearly 30 years. Based in Hinckley, we manufacture our product range on site in our own state of the art purpose-built facilities with advanced machinery and production techniques to ensure the highest quality. We have our own logistics fleet to ensure orders are handled with care and arrive in an efficient time frame as well as providing installation services. The Company continues to move through a sustained period of significant growth and success.

Role Profile

The role is to develop & grow the installations network & developing geographical coverage including recruitment & is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of installation teams, ensuring that all window & door installations are completed safely, efficiently, on time, & to the required quality standards. The role acts as the key link between installers, customers, & management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

· Support the Installations Manager to deliver short, medium & long term installations strategy for growth

· Develop & grow the installations network & developing geographical coverage

· Deliver continuous improvement & productivity improvement including cost reduction & variable material cost reduction

· End to end project lifecycle management of any key Business initiatives identified

Management

· Provide a positive & dynamic supervisory style, whilst maintaining a positive & fun working environment & culture

· Lead, motivate, guide, mentor & develop the Installations Teams, fostering & delivering operational excellence, continuous improvement & financial performances of the Business

· Ensure highly skilled, trained & motivated Installations Teams, identifying training & developing needs through regular reviews & the PDR process

KPI’s

· Deliver targets & ensure KPI’s are met for business growth & success

· Analyse & control installation targets in accordance with the budget & sales forecast

· Prepare & deliver weekly / monthly operating KPI’s to the Installations Manager

Operations

· Supervise & coordinate double glazing installation teams on site

· Ensure installations meet company standards, building regulations, & manufacturer specifications

· Carry out site surveys & pre-installation checks where required

· Monitor health & safety compliance on all sites, including use of PPE & safe working practices

· Oversea the quality control process including overseeing completed work, carry out snagging, & ensure any remedial work is completed promptly

· Provide technical guidance & support to installation teams

· Liaise & investigate with customers to address queries, resolve issues, & maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

· Communicate effectively with office staff regarding progress, materials, & workforce requirements

· Ensure tools, vehicles, & materials are used responsibly & maintained properly

· Complete all required paperwork, reports, & quality control documentation

· Support training & development of installers, including new starters

· Manage external contractors & contracting services

· Work with HR to ensure timely completion of all associated people processes, such as recruitment, employee relations, workplace culture & performance & development management

· Any other reasonable management request.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

· Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. NVQ in Fenestration or similar) preferred

· Valid UK driving licence

· MTC / CSCS card (or equivalent) desirable

· Proven experience in double glazing/window and door installations

· Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of uPVC, aluminium, and/or timber systems

· Good understanding of building regulations and installation standards

· Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

· Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude

· Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality

· Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve

· Strong communication, team working & people skills

· Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude

· Act with integrity & honesty

· Positive attitude to innovation & change
