Housekeeper Required About Us Home From Home Nursery & Pre-school is a nurturing, home-like setting in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and early years education. The Role: Housekeeper (Part-Time) We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Walton nursery team. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families. Key Responsibilities - Maintain the kitchen to a 5-star hygiene rating, including cleaning up thoroughly after all meals - Ensure all nursery rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and kitchen spaces are kept clean and hygienic - Clean and tidy all toilets and washrooms to the highest standards - Carry out daily cleaning tasks (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, sanitising surfaces) - Rotate toys and ensure regular cleaning and sanitising of all toys and play equipment - Complete all nursery laundry duties (bedding, towels, cloths, children’s spare clothes) - Replenish cleaning supplies and notify management of any shortages - Support infection control procedures and adhere to health & safety standards - Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly About You - Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred (ideally in childcare, education, or healthcare settings) - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently - Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness - Friendly and respectful attitude - Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a childcare environment Hours & Pay - Part-time: Flexible hours available (early evening preferred) - Competitive hourly rate - Immediate start available How to Apply Please email your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience to Anita at management@hfh-childcare.co.uk.
