The Chief Constable of Cleveland Police is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Chief Constable.

To support this process, we are hosting an Assistant Chief Constable Familiarisation Events at Cleveland Police Headquarters. This will feature an introduction from Chief Constable Victoria Fuller and Deputy Chief Constable David Felton, followed by a presentation from the HR Recruitment team, providing detailed information about the recruitment process.

Key Details:

  • Application Period: Applications open 8th December 2025 and will close on 11th January 2026.
  • Familiarisation Event Registration: Click the ‘Apply’ button below to register. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration.
  • Virtual Attendance: Although attendance in person is always preferred, external candidates can attend via MS Teams. Please contact hr.recruitment@cleveland.police.uk (FAO Alison Blake) for more information.
  • Expected interview dates: Stakeholder Panel Interviews will take place on 2nd or 9th February 2026 with Appointment Panel Interviews being held the following day on 3rd or 10th February 2026.

We would welcome applications from current serving officers either:

  • Previously qualified to role of Assistant Chief Constable.
  • Successfully completed the ELP development centre and awaiting the course.
  • Eligible and willing to undertake the ELP development centre in the next 12 months.
