Overview
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Event Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the organisation and execution of a variety of events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent attendee experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. This paid position is suitable for individuals eager to gain experience in event management and customer service within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and set-up of events, including venue preparation and logistics coordination
  • Support the registration process, including attendee check-in and distribution of materials
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and team members to ensure timely delivery of event components
  • Manage on-the-day operations, addressing any issues promptly to ensure seamless event execution
  • Provide excellent customer service to attendees, guests, and clients throughout the event
  • Support post-event activities such as feedback collection, breakdown, and clean-up
  • Maintain organised records of event details, schedules, and communications

Experience

  • Previous experience in event assistance or customer service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various aspects of event management
  • A positive attitude with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
