We have a fantastic opportunity on board for a Conference & Events Sales Manager to join our Award winning conference and events client.

Salary up to £35,000 pa depending on experience

37.5 hours/week (typically Mon-Fri 9-5.30pm)

Initially office based 5 days/week with option to apply for 4 days office, 1 day WFH after training/induction period

Overview of the Conference & Events Sales Manager role:

To lead the Sales Coordination team ensuring excellent customer service, effective event planning and coordination, and strong relationships with clients and operational stakeholders, whilst supporting the achievement of commercial and revenue objectives.

Key responsibilities for the Conference & Events Sales Manager will include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of 6 Conference & Event coordinators, creating a positive, customer focused and high performing environment
  • Conducting 121 reviews, coaching and team development
  • Ensuring enquiries are managed effectively, accurately and within agreed SLAs
  • Monitoring enquiry quality, conversion and service standards
  • Planning team resources, workload management, operational efficiency
  • Leading weekly team meetings
  • Building strong relationships across operations, finance, revenue and key stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Head of Revenue
  • Leading engagement with large, complex and high profile event enquiries
  • Conducting venue show rounds, appointments, event review meetings to maximise conversion and ensure successful event delivery

Skills and Experience required for the Conference & Events Sales Manager include:

  • Experience working within conferences, events or hospitality
  • Experience of managing a team, leading and coaching
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of conference and events sales conversion and customer experience
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, organisation, attention to detail and multi tasking skills
  • Customer first mind set
  • Confidence to work with multiple stakeholders and departments
