Full job description

About Smartfits Installations Ltd

Smartfits Installations Ltd is a fast-growing, family-run business specialising in vehicle tracking, camera, and fleet management solutions across the UK. We support customers through both installation-only services and fully managed supply-and-install solutions, working with leading technology platforms and manufacturers.

We work with major national clients as well as businesses managing their own fleets, delivering professional, reliable, and scalable installation programmes nationwide.

Due to continued growth and an increasing number of national contracts, we are expanding our Operations team and are looking to recruit a proactive and organised Field Operations Support Coordinator to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our field operations.

The Role

As a Field Operations Support Coordinator, you will be at the centre of our daily operations. You will be responsible for coordinating engineer schedules, communicating with customers, and providing real-time support to our engineering teams throughout the working day.

This role is fast-paced and varied, requiring strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to respond calmly to changing priorities. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, and customers to ensure installations are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers regarding installation appointments
  • Book and confirm installation appointments, including supply-customer onboarding visits
  • Plan and optimise daily engineer routes and workloads
  • Provide ongoing support to engineers throughout the working day
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues as they arise
  • Coordinate daily operational activities to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Manage scheduling changes, cancellations, and rebookings
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure work is allocated appropriately
  • Escalate operational risks or issues to senior team members when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Confident and professional communication skills (phone, email, and internal teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Calm, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in operations support, scheduling, customer service, or coordination roles is desirable
  • Experience working with field-based or engineering teams is an advantage but not essential

Full training will be provided.

What We Offer

  • Full training and ongoing support
  • Key role within a growing operations team
  • Opportunity to develop operational and coordination skills
  • Clear progression opportunities as the business grows
  • Friendly, supportive, and collaborative working environment
  • Stable, permanent position within a growing company

Why Join Smartfits?

  • Be part of a growing business with national clients
  • Play a vital role in the day-to-day success of field operations
  • Work closely with engineers, project teams, and leadership
  • Gain hands-on operational experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Grow your career as Smartfits continues to expand
