Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and organised environment for children in our care. This role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a genuine passion for childcare. The Residential Manager will work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to deliver high-quality support and care plans tailored to each child's needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the residential facility, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans for children in residence
  • Coordinate activities and programmes that promote the wellbeing, development, and safety of children
  • Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training as necessary
  • Maintain effective communication with families, external professionals, and authorities regarding children's progress and needs
  • Organise schedules for staff shifts, appointments, and activities to ensure consistent care delivery
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the premises, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards
  • Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, reporting incidents, and updating documentation accurately
  • Facilitate transport arrangements including driving children to appointments or activities when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or residential setting
  • Valid driving licence with clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of child development and childcare practices
  • Ability to develop personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, staff, and external agencies
  • Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine commitment to supporting children's wellbeing and development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £46,000.00-£56,000.00 per year
