General Farm Worker Merkland, Dumfries

Aviagen® stands at the forefront of poultry genetics, pioneering research, and innovation on a global scale. Our broiler breeder brands are among the most recognised and respected in the industry, and each has a proven record of success in addition to a large and loyal global customer base.

Based at our trials farm near Dumfries and reporting to the Farm Manager, an immediate opportunity has arisen for a general farm worker. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate competent poultry husbandry skills, handling and catching of birds, monitoring feed levels and checking water systems. The successful applicant will be required to adhere to the required standards of bio-security, bird welfare and health & safety at all times.

Full training will be provided, although previous poultry experience would be advantageous.

The shift pattern for this post is 39 hours per week (Mon – Fri) + Alt weekends (4 hours Sat & Sun)

We offer excellent terms of employment. The starting salary is £31,491.67 with the potential to rise to £33,148.68 per annum.

Must have access to own transport due to location of farm and start times.

No accommodation is provided.
