Job details
Full job description
At Avery Healthcare, we're not just delivering exceptional care, we're creating communities where residents feel safe, valued, connected and truly at home.
Behind every outstanding resident experience is a team of dedicated professionals who help our homes thrive. As a Regional FP&A Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting our operational leaders to make informed decisions, drive performance, and ensure we continue to invest in the people, services and environments that make Avery special.
Avery is one of the UK's leading providers of luxury residential, dementia and respite care, but what truly sets us apart is our people. We believe that when colleagues feel supported, empowered and appreciated, they create outstanding experiences for residents and families. That's why we invest in our teams, champion innovation, and foster a culture where everyone can thrive.
If you're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys influencing decision-making, building strong relationships, and turning financial data into meaningful business insight, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
The Regional FP&A Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor to Regional Directors and Home Managers across a portfolio of care homes.
Working closely with operational leaders, you'll provide insightful financial analysis, challenge and support decision-making, and help drive commercial performance across the region. You'll combine strong financial expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support the delivery of Avery's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Regional Directors and Home Managers to drive financial performance across your portfolio of homes.
- Analyse monthly financial results and provide clear insights into key performance drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Support the delivery of occupancy, revenue, margin and EBITDA targets through effective financial planning and analysis.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting processes, ensuring assumptions are robust, accurate and aligned with operational plans.
- Develop meaningful financial models and forecasts linked to occupancy, staffing levels, fee rates and resident demand.
- Produce performance reports, dashboards and variance analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Challenge spending and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and cost control.
- Present financial information in a clear and accessible way to non-finance stakeholders.
- Support operational improvement initiatives, investment decisions, refurbishments and new home openings.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.
About You
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and influencing business performance.
You will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Have significant experience within FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering roles.
- Be experienced in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
- Possess advanced Excel skills and be confident working with large datasets.
- Have strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
- Be confident presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Be comfortable constructively challenging stakeholders to drive improved business outcomes.
- Be passionate about supporting operational excellence and delivering positive outcomes for residents and colleagues.
- Experience within healthcare, care homes, hospitality or other multi-site operational environments would be advantageous.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be beneficial.
Why Join Avery?
At Avery, finance is about more than numbers. It's about enabling great decisions, supporting operational excellence, and helping our care homes deliver exceptional experiences for residents and families.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team where your expertise will have a genuine impact on business performance. Working alongside operational leaders, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, drive improvement and contribute to the continued success of one of the UK's leading care providers.
Most importantly, you'll be part of an organisation that values its people and is committed to creating a culture where everyone can thrive.
Please Note
This role will require:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- A willingness to travel to care homes within your region as required.
