Help Shape the Future of a Growing South West Success Story

At The Dash Group, we're not standing still. With a turnover approaching £34 million, a team of more than 200 colleagues, and ambitious plans for continued growth, we're looking for a commercially astute Head of Finance to join our senior leadership team and help drive the next phase of our journey.

This is more than a finance leadership role. It's an opportunity to influence strategic decisions, modernise systems, strengthen commercial performance and play a key part in building one of the South West's leading logistics, vehicle solutions, fulfilment and e-commerce businesses.

If you're the type of finance leader who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, challenging the status quo, and helping ambitious businesses grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Dash Group?

At The Dash Group, our success is built on strong relationships, practical thinking and doing the right thing for our customers and colleagues. As a family-owned business, we combine entrepreneurial spirit with long-term thinking.

As Head of Finance, you'll work closely with the Directors and senior leadership team, giving you genuine influence over business decisions and future growth plans. You'll have the opportunity to shape the finance function, improve systems and reporting, develop a talented team and help create the financial foundations for further expansion.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional who can provide both strategic insight and operational excellence.

You'll lead an established finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and effective business planning, while helping operational leaders understand the numbers that drive performance.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Leading all aspects of the finance function.
  • Delivering meaningful management information and commercial insight.
  • Driving budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Supporting investment decisions, acquisitions and growth initiatives.
  • Improving systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Strengthening financial controls and compliance.
  • Partnering with operational teams to improve profitability and performance.
  • Developing and leading a high-performing finance team.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with a commercial mindset and excellent leadership skills.

You'll likely be:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similarly qualified.
  • An experienced Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leader.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business partnering.
  • Experienced in improving finance systems, reporting and processes.
  • A confident communicator who can influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Naturally curious, proactive and focused on delivering solutions.
  • Experienced within logistics, transport, vehicle services, fulfilment, e-commerce or another multi-site operational environment.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll:

  • Develop a finance function capable of supporting ambitious business growth.
  • Deliver clear, insightful reporting that supports better decision-making.
  • Improve commercial understanding across the organisation.
  • Enhance systems, controls and financial visibility.
  • Help drive profitable growth and long-term business success.

Join Us

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance leader who wants to make a significant impact within a growing and dynamic business.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise will influence strategy, improve performance and help shape the future direction of the organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help drive Dash Group's next chapter of growth.
