Capital Group are a rapidly expanding and diverse organisation operating across three core sectors: Shopfitting, Logistics, and Utilities.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial Finance Manager to lead the financial and commercial support function across our business. Working closely with the Head of Utilities and Managing Director, this role oversees the Finance and Commercial Support team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, management accounts, commercial controls and operational performance reporting.

Financial Management:

  • Produce monthly Management Accounts.
  • Prepare P&L, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts (COA).
  • Oversee monthly VAT returns.
  • Oversee CIS administration.
  • Review accruals, prepayments and journals.
  • Assist with annual audits.

Commercial Management:

  • Oversee AFP preparation and submission.
  • Review commercial submissions.
  • Monitor contract profitability.
  • Analyse labour, plant, subcontractor and material costs.
  • Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports.
  • Monitor productivity.
  • Review outstanding debt and client payments.
  • Support operational teams with commercial performance.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead the Commercial Coordinator and Finance Administration team.
  • Provide coaching and support.
  • Review commercial reporting.
  • Allocate workloads.
  • Develop processes and reporting standards.
  • Act as escalation point for finance and commercial queries.

Reporting & Business Support

  • Produce Board reports.
  • Present contract performance.
  • Provide financial information to clients.
  • Develop KPI dashboards.
  • Support business cases and financial modelling.

Essential Skills & Experience
