Company Overview

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fire alarm Engineer to support our expanding contracts portfolio.
Role Summary
This is a hands-on, field-based role working across structured contracts, reactive works, and small installations. You will be responsible for maintaining critical life-safety systems to the highest compliance standards while representing Fire Safety Direct professionally on client sites.
This role is ideal for a dependable, technically strong engineer who takes pride in quality workmanship and legislative compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain:
- Fire alarm systems
- CCTV systems (training can be provided)
- Access control systems (training can be provided)
- Intruder alarms (training can be provided)
- Deliver schedules across commercial, industrial, retail, and public-sector sites.
- Diagnose faults and attend reactive callouts efficiently.
- Ensure all works comply with BAFE SP203-1, British Standards, and client specifications.
- Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise professionally with site managers, facilities teams, and local authority representatives.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Fire alarm Engineer (servicing and fault-finding).
- Strong working knowledge of systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, C-TEC, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, etc.
- Solid understanding of BAFE, British Standards, and compliance processes.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- ECS/CSCS card, FIA modules, IPAF – desirable but not essential.
- DBS clearance or willingness to undertake one.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
