Full job description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Compliance Coordinator to support the efficient and compliant operation of our transport department. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of transport compliance, fleet management, and FORS standards who holds a Transport Manager CPC qualification.

You will play a key role in ensuring our operations run safely, legally, and efficiently across our fleet of HGVs, 7.5T, and 3.5T vans, maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the company’s fleet compliance and transport operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including FORS accreditation, driver hours, tachograph regulations, and vehicle licensing.
  • Maintain and improve FORS accreditation, ensuring all processes meet audit standards.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, MOTs, servicing, and repairs to minimise downtime and ensure roadworthiness.
  • Manage and review transport documentation, policies, and audit records.
  • Assist in preparing for external audits and compliance checks.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiency within the transport function.

Requirements

  • Transport Manager CPC qualification.
  • Proven experience in a transport or fleet compliance role.
  • Strong understanding of FORS standards and experience maintaining accreditation.
  • Good knowledge of tachograph laws, driver hours regulations, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with drivers, managers, and external authorities.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
