Bathgate - Depot Manager

Salary Range: 45,000

Shift: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 18:00 (45 hours)

Bond International is a major distributor of tyres in the UK. We are looking for a new management team to lead our new depot.

Bond International operates a B2B tyre distribution service and acts as a dedicated 3PL to some of the leading tyre brands. We cover the entirety of the UK and deliver to independent and chain garages alike.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed individual with good experience of Warehouse Management and a strong history of managing people to establish and develop our Bathgate transport operation as part of that team.

You will work in a team. Duties will include:

Recruiting and developing staff.

· Forging and leading an effective team.

· Establishing and maintaining a health and safety culture and health and safety systems.

· Managing all aspects of the warehouse operation.

· Liaising with the company’s goods in and sales teams.

· Achieving and maintaining high warehouse service levels to our customers.

· Managing the maintenance of premises and equipment.

· Managing for optimal efficiency.

· Oversee the picking, routing and dispatch of tyres to ensure the Company's customers receive the best possible delivery service

· Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order and dispatch of tyres in line with KPI's

· Assist with motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the team to ensure set picking and loading targets are met in accordance with set KPl's

· Assist with staff training where recognised and monitor staff performance Ensuring Health & Safety and operational Policies and Procedures are enforced

· Oversee stock counting; completing a stock check on a minimum of a 6 week cycle and overseeing stock control and processing orders; ensure stock takes are completed to stock take plan to improve customer satisfaction Ensuring stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements

· Assist the Depot Manager in the production of regular reports and statistics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis info view reports for efficiencies and Isys reports for sickness and planning

· Assisting when briefing the team on the issues for that particular day- taking the lead in any new procedures to be rolled out

· Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and how the warehouse contributes to these;

· Assisting the depot manager when responding to and dealing with sales communication by email and telephone shortage reports ETA's delivery issues

· Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols

· Assisting in keeping and maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement warehouse checks must be completed daily without fail Follow, implement and comply with the company's health and safety policy and action points raised health and safety advisor swiftly and efficiently Plan/monitor with transport department to keep failed deliveries to a minimum and in line with KPI's

You must be able to undertake manual handling and be ready to work at heights
