Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction and carpentry team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery, with a strong understanding of various hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the successful completion of both residential and commercial projects.

Duties

  • Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install materials with precision
  • Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures
  • Assist with roofing installations, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
  • Conduct heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate project progress
  • Carry out construction painting work as required to prepare surfaces for finishing
  • Support plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks where necessary to ensure project continuity
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction roles
  • Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are advantageous but not essential
  • A valid UK driving licence is preferred for roles involving site travel
