Full job description

As one of the area’s longest established independent funeral service providers, and as part of our ongoing expansion, we are offering the opportunity for a Trainee Funeral Director to join our highly respected team, working from our funeral homes in both Grimsby and Immingham.

We require a very special person.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and natural people skills, building trust and an appropriate rapport with the bereaved. Attention to detail is essential, always acting with compassion, empathy and professionalism.

As part of our friendly team, you will be working closely with other colleagues and the company directors. You will learn to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and have a genuine passion for supporting families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. You will possess strong administration and organisational skills and have experience of using Office 365 and Windows 10.

The standard hours of work are a minimum of 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08.30 - 17.00 which will be linked closely to the needs of our customers and business. In addition, you will be required to participate in an out of hours and weekend on-call rota and additional hours when required.

Full clean driving license is essential.

28 days annual leave

On call duties: 1 week on, 2 weeks off.
