EXPERIENCED TEACHING ASSISTANT

(Temporary until July 2026)

Salary Grade: NJC Scale Point 3 – £24,796 Full time equivalent (actual £17,692)

Hours: 30.83 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (paid pro rata)

Thank you for your interest in the post of Teaching Assistant at our school. We

are in need of a dedicated, experienced Teaching Assistant with wide-ranging experience including 1:1 provision, to support our children and join our passionate

and caring team.

Hayes School is a happy and thriving primary school where children love to learn and as a result, achieve outstanding results. There are approximately 375 children on roll including nursery children. The children are mixed ability with two classes per year group. Our strong team of teachers are supported by highly skilled teaching assistants. The school recently received an Ofsted judgement of ‘outstanding’ in three areas and we current are top of the Torbay league tables for the second year running.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant with a passion and drive to support children. Experience or knowledge of working with children with a range of needs is an advantage. Our children are looking for a committed individual who is highly organised and can inspire learning.
