Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced cafe environment, ensuring all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and setup of the kitchen before service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional experiences
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation standards
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles, preferably within a similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends are required, this is a daytime only job.
