Full job description

An exiting opportunity to join a 5th generation family business at the forefront of brassica module production in a role to support the owner of the business and work with the excellent and long standing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting across the whole business with plant care (all growing and watering activities), maintenance and general nursery activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain more experience in horticulture and nursery management with an excellent business.

Experience

  • Prior experience in horticulture or a related field is desirable and training will be provided for specific duties
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and a passion for growing plants would also be advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during daily operations
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus but not required; training will be available for relevant machinery
  • Enthusiasm for outdoor work and working with plants in a team-oriented environment
