Gas Heating Engineer Needed- Leicester/ Nottingham (Must be Gas Safe Registered)

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join a project in Leicester, working on a large domestic property. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills in plumbing and carpentry, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in diverse environments. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop their career within the heating and HVAC industry.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and associated pipework.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of heating equipment.
  • Diagnose faults accurately using mechanical knowledge and appropriate tools.
  • Utilise welding, hand tools, power tools, plumbing fittings, and carpentry skills to complete installations and repairs.
  • Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely.
  • Work with specialised assembly techniques to fit components securely.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during site visits and work activities.
  • Assist with the installation of new systems in both commercial and residential settings.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the HVAC or plumbing industry.
  • Gas Safe ID card.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, power tools, hand tools, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to heating system installation and maintenance.

Rate

  • Negotiable.

Start Date

  • Soon/ expected Monday 12th January.

Duration

  • 2 months/ ongoing work.

Client

  • This will be working for a company who specialise in fit out projects on a range of different buildings, from domestic to large commercial buildings.
