General Building Apprenticeship – CG Building and Restoration Ltd

Full-time | 4-year programme | Based in York, Yorkshire

About Us

At CG Building and Restoration Ltd, we specialise in high-quality construction projects across Yorkshire — from bespoke renovations to new builds. Our apprenticeships are designed to give people a practical route into the industry, combining hands‑on site experience with structured training and support from our skilled craftsmen.

The Apprenticeship

This is a four-year structured programme offering a clear pathway into the building trade. Whether you’re starting out, changing career, or looking for a practical skill, this apprenticeship provides the foundation for a long‑term future in construction.

  • Year 1: You’ll be on site assisting experienced tradespeople, learning how projects run day‑to‑day and gaining exposure to different aspects of building work.
  • Years 2 & 3: After your first year, you’ll move into a recognised trade qualification course while continuing to gain practical experience.
  • Year 4: You’ll progress to a Level 3 Trade Course, developing advanced skills and preparing for a career in construction.

This format allows apprentices to make an informed choice about their trade, while being supported throughout.
