Job We

Groundworkers required in Dorchester, Direct CIS and not an agency. The job at this stage will be mostly finishings works. Rates dependent on experience. CSCS is a minimum on this job but anything else is an advantage. 4 years of work on this project. Looking for lads for an immediately start.

Duties

  • Execute groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage installation, and surface preparation.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively as required.
  • Assist in the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge related to groundwork practices.

Experience

  • Previous experience in groundwork or construction is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with operating construction machinery is preferred.
  • A valid driver's licence is beneficial for transporting materials to various sites.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in the field of groundwork is highly valued.
