Career Progression to Commercial and Operations Director

Target-driven | Aspirational | Growing CQC-registered Mental Health Service

An emerging professional with strong upward trajectory

About The Apsley Clinic

The Apsley Clinic is a rapidly expanding CQC-registered private mental health clinic providing ADHD assessments, ASD assessments, mental health diagnostics, medication management and multidisciplinary psychological therapies. We now have the clinical capacity to scale significantly — and we are seeking a Commercial & Operations Manager who wants to grow with the business.

This is a rare opportunity to join early, work directly alongside three directors (including a Consultant Psychiatrist), and become a driving force behind our next phase of growth. For the right candidate, this role has a clear pathway to senior management and potentially Operations Director.

About the Role

This is a target-driven, sales-focused commercial role that will expand into broader operational leadership as the business grows. Initially, your focus will be on sales, marketing, patient acquisition and partnership generation, before gradually taking on day-to-day operational oversight with support from our Clinic Co-ordinator/Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new patient enquiries through social media, online content, digital campaigns and community outreach.
  • Convert enquiries into paid assessments across all clinical pathways.
  • Build referral partnerships with businesses, GP surgeries, OH providers, insurers, therapists and educational services.
  • Oversee sales funnels, lead management, and conversion tracking.
  • Develop growth strategies aligned with directors’ vision.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Improve our digital footprint (SEO, Google reviews, social media activity).
  • Lead promotional activity for ADHD assessments, ASD assessments and mental health services.
  • Identify and nurture new commercial opportunities and markets.

Operations (Secondary & Expanding Over Time)

  • Work closely with the directors to streamline operational processes.
  • Support the administrative team and oversee daily clinic functions.
  • Assist with KPI tracking, performance reporting and business analytics.
  • Contribute to compliance and governance under CQC expectations.
  • Ensure smooth patient experience from enquiry to discharge.

What We’re Looking For

  • Healthcare background (private sector preferred)
  • Strong interest in business development and operations
  • Comfortable with sales, targets and performance-based rewards
  • Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills
  • Ambitious, driven and excited by progression opportunities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • South West/Bristol based (or willing to travel occasionally)

Strongly Recommended:

  • Experience in mental health services
  • Previous experience in clinic management, healthcare sales or service development

What We Offer

  • £13 per hour
  • Uncapped commission (high earning potential as service grows)
  • Performance bonuses
  • Clear progression pathway to senior leadership in Healthcare
  • Mentorship from a Consultant Psychiatrist and directors
  • Admin support via our Clinic Co-ordinator
  • Hybrid remote working
  • Reduced-price mental health assessments for family & friends
  • IT equipment provided where required

The Right Person Will Be:

  • Energetic, proactive and commercially minded
  • Able to operate confidently in a healthcare environment
  • Motivated by results, progression and impact
  • Eager to be part of a scaling organization
  • Comfortable driving both sales and operational efficiency both organically and digitally
  • Dedicated to supporting the delivery of exceptional mental health care

Ready to Grow With Us?

This is a unique and exciting role within a progressive clinic with serious growth plans. If you’re ambitious, target-driven and passionate about mental health, we want to hear from you.
