Overview
Hillfoot Surgery is seeking a highly organised and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the operation and business management of our friendly four-partner GP practice in Pudsey, Leeds. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills to contribute to our well-established team. The successful candidate will have a keen awareness of CQC compliance, finance, medico-legal legislation and information governance, as well as a drive to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

Duties

  • Supervise and/or support the practice team, including GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and the administrative personnel
  • Manage practice finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Oversee human resources functions such as recruitment, staff training, and performance appraisals
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and patient care
  • Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery

Experience

  • Strong management skills with a track record of leading teams effectively
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of human resources practices such as recruitment, training, and staff development
  • NHS management experience is highly desirable but not essential; however, familiarity with medical terminology and practice finances is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with staff, patients and allied healthcare professionals.

This role is ideal for an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service in a GP setting. The Practice Manager will play a vital part in ensuring the continued success and growth of our practice.

Hours and pay are negotiable for the successful candidate.
