Where will you be working?

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

This role can be located in our Derby office or in Cambridge.

What will you be doing?

This role is all about building strong, lasting relationships with key clients and supporting their success.

You’ll be the main point of contact, ensuring clear communication, timely responses, and proactive solutions.

By understanding each client’s goals and challenges, you’ll create tailored strategies, identify growth opportunities, and help them achieve results that benefit both sides.

You’ll monitor performance, set targets, and work closely with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to keep everything aligned.

From negotiating contracts to coordinating cross functional efforts, you’ll make sure projects run smoothly and clients feel valued.

Regular reviews, accurate forecasting, and thoughtful retention strategies will strengthen partnerships and drive revenue growth.

You’ll also stay on top of industry trends, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and innovative.

With a focus on collaboration, safety, and customer satisfaction, this role is about creating trust, solving challenges, and helping clients thrive while supporting the company’s long term success.

What you'll bring:
  • Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills
  • Positive, approachable, and helpful attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Confident IT skills, including Word, Excel, and MS Project
  • Initiative and commercial awareness
  • Team focused mindset with collaborative spirit
  • Appreciation of electrical installations and control systems (control panels, MCCs, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation)
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
  • Willingness to join reviews and training courses
  • Ability to understand client needs and propose solutions
  • HNC/Degree in electrical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Industry background in sales, account management, or key account management
