Groundworker – Domestic Construction Projects

Location: North East England

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Hours: 39 hours per week plus overtime opportunities

The candidate must have own means of transportation and tools.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our growing construction team working across domestic and residential projects throughout the North East.

The successful candidate will have proven experience carrying out all aspects of groundworks and external works, working both independently and as part of a team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Excavation and preparation of foundations

* Setting out and construction of foundation systems

* Installation of foul and surface water drainage

* Deep drainage and service trenching

* Installation of inspection chambers and manholes

* Concrete works including slabs, bases and footings

* Screeding works

* Kerbing, paving and external works

* Ducting and service installations

* Site preparation and reinstatement

* Working from construction

* ⁠Drawings and specifications

* Ensuring works comply with Building Regulations and health & safety requirements

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience in domestic groundworks

* Experience installing drainage systems and foundations

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

* CSCS Card

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Strong work ethic and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

* CPCS/NPORS Dumper or Excavator Ticket

* Street Works Qualification

* Confined Space Training

* First Aid at Work

* Experience working on residential developments, extensions and HMO conversions
