Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Level 1 Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating young athletes in the art of gymnastics. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and helping them develop their skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to various skill levels, ensuring each athlete receives appropriate instruction.
  • Educate students on proper techniques, safety protocols, and the importance of physical fitness.
  • Monitor the progress of each gymnast, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to foster improvement.
  • Maintain a safe and organised training environment, ensuring all equipment is properly used and stored.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to develop training programmes that promote teamwork and camaraderie among athletes.
  • Organise and participate in gymnastics events, competitions, and showcases to highlight the achievements of the gymnasts.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in gymnastics or related disciplines.
  • Strong educational skills with the ability to teach complex techniques in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • A passion for promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among young athletes.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
  • First Aid certification is advantageous.
