Job Summary
Mulberry & Thyme is a luxury, creative hair salon known for high-quality colour, cutting, and styling. We pride ourselves on offering a professional yet friendly atmosphere where both clients and team members feel supported.

Education is at the heart of what we do. Apprentices receive hands-on training, real client experience, and ongoing mentoring from experienced stylists. We’re passionate about helping new talent grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.

We welcome enthusiastic apprentices who are eager to learn, develop their craft, and become part of a supportive and fun team.

Responsibilities

  • Training to complete a Level 2 Apprenticeship in hairdressing. You will learn to be able to provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and in good condition.
  • Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer professional advice on hairstyles and products.
  • Upsell salon products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
  • Assist with front desk duties including scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling payments.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth salon operations and contribute positively to the salon environment.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Level 2 Math's and English
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Willing to learn with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Reliable with great timekeeping, being able to get to the salon on time is essential to our clients.
  • Great organisation and an ability to follow instructions.
  • One day per week in class training at NESCOT College
