Full job description

We are currently looking for Groundworker's who are experienced in basement construction. Must have at least 3 years experience. Excavator ticket and experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excavating and preparing ground for foundations
  • Underpinning
  • Cut, bend, and fix rebar and mesh to reinforce concrete structures
  • Install steel reinforcement in formwork before concrete is poured
  • Installation of formwork panels and shuttering
  • Pouring concrete - (ready mix by wheelbarrow and pump)
  • Installing drainage
  • Operating machinery (dumper / excavator) as required
  • Working within a small team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a groundworker
  • Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret steel drawings
  • Operating machinery (dumper / excavator) as required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ideally have their own transport
  • Have own tools and PPE

Job Type: Full-time

  • Ground works: 3 years (preferred)
  • Basement construction: 3 years (preferred)
  • underpinning: 3 years (preferred)
