Fraudulent job policy

Indeed wants to provide a trustworthy platform for everyone. This policy explains how we find and handle fraudulent job postings on our platform.

What are fraudulent job posts?

  • Fraudulent job postings aim to deceive, mislead or cause harm to jobseekers.
  • This includes:
    • Scams
    • Activity meant to steal personal, financial or sensitive information

How do we find fraudulent job postings?

  • We use both automated systems and human review to help find fraudulent job postings.
  • We also provide a clear and easy way for users to report suspicious jobs to Indeed.
  • To report a job posting, click or tap the Report job button at the bottom of the job post.
  • For more details, check our jobseeker Help Centre article on reporting a job.

How we handle fraudulent jobs

  • We remove job postings that we determine are fraudulent.
  • We may suspend or ban employer accounts involved in fraudulent activity.
  • We may also take other actions to help prevent fraudulent activity.
