Policy – Generic or Confidential Company Name

This policy applies to all employers who post jobs on Indeed. Some employers may want to post jobs without showing their company name. They might use names like 'Confidential Executive Office' or 'Confidential Organisation'.

Jobseekers are less likely to apply if they don't know which company is recruiting. Sharing your company name helps people learn about your business and decide whether the job is right for them.

Policy

Jobs with confidential or extremely generic company names will not be shown on Indeed. You will be required to post using your full company name.

This policy helps jobseekers trust the job and the company posting it.

Next steps

If we removed or hid your job post:

  • Check that your company name is shown.

  • Remove any generic or placeholder names, like 'Confidential Organisation' or 'Private Company'.

Contact Indeed Support if you believe we removed your post by mistake.
