Using two-factor authentication (2FA) on Indeed
Two-factor authentication (2FA) keeps your employer account secure. Also called two-step verification, it works by asking you to confirm your identity with a one-time code when you sign in. You'll usually receive this code as a text message (SMS) to your mobile phone. If you have a verified phone number, you are automatically signed up for text message-based 2FA.
Why do we use 2FA?
2FA helps protect your account by:
Preventing unauthorised access, even if someone gets your password.
Making sure only verified individuals can access sensitive account or recruitment information.
Typically, 2FA is required to sign in once every 90 to 365 days, unless you're:
Using different devices or networks
Using a VPN
Clearing your cookies or cache frequently.
