Part of EFS Group, Independent Logistics solutions are part of the UK’s largest pallet distribution company, Palletways.

We have an exciting opportunity within the EFS Group for an experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Relief Driver to join our team of professional drivers. The role would be working across our 3 depots; Independent Logistics Solutions (ILS), Eminence Transport & Sussex Pallet Services (SPS).

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis Monday to Friday covering various night runs for drivers on holiday. Your shifts would be booked and scheduled in advance, you would need to be flexible, ideally based between Snodland and Uckfield and happy to cover different trunks to Palletline, PalletWays and The Pallet Network.

Monday-Friday ; Start Time between 18.00 – 20.00 (10/12hr shift)

Salary and Benefits:

  • £48,620.00 (£17.00 per hour based on 55 worked hours)

We are now offering £1000.00 Welcome BONUS!

Responsibilities of Role:

  • To comply with driving hours and working time directives
  • To ensure driving ability adheres to the safety of others and oneself on the road, ensuring legal compliance at all times
  • Ensure a professional image of the company and oneself is presented at all times
  • Meet trunking deadlines as required
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are actioned to support Health and Safety criteria
  • Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods
  • Responsible for security of loads
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements

Requirements of Role

  • Must hold a class 1 licence for a minimum of 2 year
  • 2 years + driving experience with night trunk experience
  • Have a digitacho card
  • Hold a CPC qualification card
