Location: Swindon, UK

Shift Pattern: 5 days on, 3 days off

Start Times: 04:00, 22:00 & 00:00

Pay Rates:

  • £23.32 per hour (between 22:00 - 04:00)
  • £18.66 per hour (all other hours)

The Role

We're seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to operate on a consistent '5 on, 3 off' shift pattern. You'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of chilled and ambient food products to retail stores across the region. This role involves active participation in unloading goods at delivery points, so a good level of physical fitness is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all road transport legislation and company policies.
  • Complete multi-drop deliveries to various retail store locations.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and digital records.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Actively assist with the unloading of goods at delivery points, using pallet trucks as required.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the transport office and store staff.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Class 1 HGV driving licence.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 HGV driver.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle heavy loads.
