This integrated health services provider turned to Indeed to source qualified candidates for its unique care model, doubling the number of successful hires.
Recruiting from a small pool
Marathon Health provides integrated employer healthcare services across the United States. From the corporate headquarters in Winooski, Vermont, it staffs facilities all over the country.
These health centers are staffed by a variety of healthcare professionals who provide primary care services, risk reduction coaching, disease management, wellness education, and occupational healthcare, among other services. A nationwide shortage of primary care providers means that Marathon Health is recruiting from a small pool, and the company’s unique care model means that finding the right candidates can be difficult.
"Across the board, the quality of service has been of the highest standard. They’re always looking out on my behalf. Everyone I’ve worked with at Indeed has been very service-focused and that’s a differentiator for me; it’s one reason I keep coming back."Lisa Patnode, Resource Coordinator and Recruiter
Sourcing the right candidates for care delivery
“Our care delivery model is unique,” said Tracey Moran, VP of Marketing. “We have longer appointment times, we are not constrained by insurance billing, and we take a holistic approach to care delivery. All together, these aspects set us apart in the worksite healthcare space. From a recruitment perspective, we need to communicate our focus on health and helping people achieve their optimum level of wellbeing – this is a whole different model of care.”
To source candidates who could deliver that care model, Marathon Health decided to sponsor its jobs on Indeed. These hard-to-fill positions included Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurse Health Coaches, Medical Assistants, Physical Therapists and Medical Doctors.
Quality applicants and successful hires
Year over year since partnering with Indeed, Marathon Health has doubled its number of hires. Indeed has provided twice the number of applicants than the next closest source and more than all other sources combined. The client saw a 50% increase in the average number of clicks to its sponsored jobs – a direct result of working closely with Indeed to adjust the budget as needed. “The success is obvious to us because we get the candidates and then the hires,” Moran said. “Over 56% of our applicants come from Indeed.”
The close relationship with Indeed stands out to Marathon Health as instrumental in such success. “Across the board, the quality of service has been of the highest standard,” said Lisa Patnode, Resource Coordinator and Recruiter. “They’re always looking out on my behalf. Everyone I’ve worked with at Indeed has been very service-focused and that’s a differentiator for me; it’s one reason I keep coming back.”
