The world’s leading network of agencies in Employer Communications uses Indeed to increase the visibility of its clients’ hard-to-fill positions, optimising the ROI of their recruitment campaigns overall.
TMP Worldwide is the world’s leading network of agencies specialising in Employer Communications. The organisation designs advertising and software solutions for its clients’ employer branding strategies. TMP Worldwide implements digital, social and mobile solutions for a wide variety of high-profile clients who have positions to fill in very competitive sectors. Its approach is highly focused on the measurability of its recruitment efforts.
ROI is a growing concern for both TMP and its clients. Marion Verguet, Media & Metrics Project Manager for TMP Worldwide France, explains, “More and more of our clients are interested in ROI and looking for a better alternative to classic outlets like display advertising or job boards.”
TMP is also looking to attract quality candidates for hard-to-fill positions. “We are looking for candidate volume in hard-to-fill industries including IT, development and engineering,” says Marion. “Candidates in these areas are difficult to find because they’re in demand and work in highly competitive industries.”

TMP’s objective was to generate more traffic at an improved ROI, as well as to reach quality candidates for highly specialised positions.
TMP Worldwide France set up two types of campaigns to tackle the goals. These included 1) continuous campaigns for clients who had recurring and sizeable recruitment needs in particularly competitive industries, and 2) one-time, as-needed campaigns to find specific candidate profiles that were difficult to find through other sources.
By sponsoring its clients’ jobs on Indeed, TMP’s postings were given premium placement in relevant Indeed search results to increase their visibility with targeted candidates. “Our clients were already familiar with organic traffic from Indeed, but less so with sponsoring their jobs there. Our clients’ results have been very positive,” Verguet said.
One of TMP’s main clients used the Taleo applicant tracking system (ATS) to measure and quantify results with Indeed.
“Indeed enabled us to attract large volumes of candidates,” Verguet said. While TMP used a significant amount of sources – 20 different job boards, Google AdWords and classic advertising – Indeed alone delivered over 23% of candidates. Over a seven-month period, Indeed drove 1,302 applications to the client. By contrast, traditional advertising methods such as display and emailing campaigns only generated 300 candidates within the same time period.
“Indeed performs very well and generates traffic at a very competitive price,” Verguet added. The average cost per candidate from Indeed for this campaign was only €22. In comparison, traditional advertising methods such as display and emailing campaigns reached a cost of €199 per candidate.
Most importantly, Verguet highlights that, “with Indeed, we are able to reach rare profiles which we had a hard time finding through other sources. These included technical positions or bilingual candidates who speak French and Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese or Russian. Indeed meets all of our expectations for a very wide range of profiles.”
