Are you passionate about making a difference for the youth of today? Lunar Learning is an independent education provider that has been set up with the sole purpose of ensuring that every child has access to an education; an education that allows them to strive for a positive future!

The team at Lunar Learning are seeking dedicated and empathetic SEMH Tutors to join our growing team! We are looking for tutors who can provide a 1:1 education for students who are not currently accessing mainstream education. The tutor should have experience in the field of SEMH - ensuring they have an understanding of the social, emotional and mental health needs of students. We are looking for tutors who put the students at the heart of what they do! A tutor with a mission to make a difference.

- Provide engaging 1:1 sessions for students with different needs in the students home, libraries, online or in a school setting.
- Communicate with students to understand their individual needs and learning styles
- Educate students on core subjects, tailoring teaching methods to suit different abilities
- Provide tutoring sessions in areas such as Maths or English.
- Implement specialised teaching techniques for learners with diverse educational requirements

Skills

- A kind, caring and empathetic outlook
- Proficient in tutoring science subjects
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students of all backgrounds
- Ability to educate and motivate learners of different age groups
- Experience with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Patient and adaptable teaching approach to cater to individual student needs

This post requires tutors to hold a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) at an Enhanced Level. (DBS)

If you are offered this position. Lunar Learning will ask you to complete an enhanced DBS check with a children's barred list check. You will need to provide at least 2 references.
